This company has now been bought by Metroland Printing and Publishing and is therefore no longer a small community-based, family owned and operated business. June 1991 to May 1999 - Metroland Newspapers (A division of Torstar). Worked at The Collingwood-Wasaga Beach Connection for almost a decade. Duties included office administration, distribution representative, flyer bookings etc. Advanced to a sales position and duties included maintaining and establishing new accounts, selling businesses into home shows, organizing promotional advertising material for non-profit groups, selling internet packages and helping out at computer shows. This was my first experience in the printing industry and I learned many skills in sales, organization, rapport building, time-management etc, which help shaped my professionalism that I pride myself in today.
